Choosing to work towards "zero waste" can be such a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be! Once you become aware of your environmental footprint, you may feel like you need to tackle every aspect of your life as soon as possible but let's just take a second.
Your first zero-waste swap will most likely be different from mine, or you BFF's, or anyone else. Some of us may want to tackle the more daunting zero waste swaps first, while others want to start small. The good news is that there is not a right or wrong way to start!
Reusable Paper Towels
Reusable paper towels are my favorite way to start a low waste journey! It may seem overwhelming, but they can help you replace paper towels or reduce your usage! No need to take the full plunge, but instead baby steps. You will also find that reducing the amount of paper towels you go through will in turn save you hundreds of dollars each year! Not convinced? Reusable Cotton Rounds
If you are an avid makeup wearer or skincare lover, reusable cotton squares are perfect for you! They are made with a bamboo fleece so they are super gentle on your skin and perfect for taking makeup off, applying toner, or any other means you can find! These are another financial save, no longer pay for makeup remover wipes!
Shampoo Bar
My absolute favorite shampoo bar EVER. If you are considering reducing waste in the bathroom, this is such a simple swap. It lathers and loves on your hair better than any bottle of shampoo.
Your Swiffer's new BFF: bamboo duster pads! Never reach for a Swiffer pad again when cleaning your floors or a rag when dusting your shelves. Bamboo Duster Pads perfectly fit your Swiffer duster and also aid in so many other cleaning projects! Read more about why you should switch to Reusable Duster Pads here.
